| Training
Experiencing the thrill and excitement of skydiving requires a certain amount of training. Certified skydiving instructors educate and advise you before, during and after each jump. Your instructor covers how your equipment functions, how to enter and exit the aircraft, and how to fly your canopy to a soft landing on target. You will also learn to recognize and correct any possible parachuting problems which may occur. While you must assume responsibility for any decisions regarding your safety, skydiving has proven to be a safe sport that almost anyone can enjoy!
Your First Jump Your first jump course is designed to teach the techniques needed to make a safe first jump. You will be well practiced and confident about your abilities before embarking on your first jump!
Equipment Today's modern state-of-the art equipment enables the first time student to glide through the air, then slow down for a controlled, graceful, on-target landing. An instructor in the landing area will provide in the air coaching by way of a harness mounted radio receiver. The technology involved with parachuting equipment has progressed greatly. It is no longer the old World War II type of gear. It is new high quality, progressive equipment allowing each jump to be a safe and enjoyable experience.
Progression
Your training has only started with the first jump course. Our programs are designed to develop your skills as a skydiver, and maximize your progression on each jump. Our coaches and instructors will spend time with you before and after each skydive. We will introduce new skills, lead practices and provide feedback to you in a relaxed one-on-one format. All coaches and instructors are certified by the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association.
